Warehouse Operative
We are seeking a Temporary Warehouse Operative to assist in our client’s warehouse operations for a defined period. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks within the warehouse, and requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work efficiently within a team to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Store received goods in designated locations within the warehouse, ensuring proper organisation and accessibility.
- Perform quality checks on goods before dispatching to ensure they meet company standards.
- Assist in loading and unloading delivery vehicles, ensuring goods are handled safely and securely.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the warehouse, including regular tidying and sweeping.
- Assist in inventory counts and stocktaking activities as required.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines and procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager or Supervisor.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred but not required.
- Certified in manual handling.
- Reach and/or Counterbalance forklift license and experience is essential.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling goods.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to follow instructions and work under supervision.
- Reliability and punctuality in attendance.
