Sales & Marketing Manager

Our Kildare-based client is excited to offer an excellent opportunity for a Sales & Marketing Manager. This role is ideal for an experienced professional ready to step into a leadership position within the hospitality industry, driving the continued growth and excellence of the hotel.

Responsibilities:
 

  • Plan and direct day to day operation of the sales and marketing activity of the hotel to ensure maximum revenue and profitability and provide potential and existing clients with the highest level of sales service.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with key corporate clients
  • Work with the Departmental Managers at the Westgrove to assist with necessary sales and marketing activity.
  • Devise sales and marketing strategy and budget.
  • Manage the hotel’s advertising and promotional campaigns with an emphasis on promoting our extensive range of wedding options.
  • Perform day to day sales activity including sales calls, contracting and rate negotiation, site inspections, attendance at trade shows and client entertainment. This may require evening and weekend work.
  • Report weekly and monthly on account performance and general activity

This role reports directly to the General Manager responsible for the hotel.

Skills and Qualifications:
 

  • 4 years or more of progressive hotel Sales/Marketing experience
  • Results driven, energetic, and focused.
  • A degree in Hotel/Business an asset
  • Excellent communication skills and a proven track record in negotiation and presentation skills
  • Excellent I.T skills in Work/Excel/PowerPoint with an ability to exploit on line  and social media marketing
  • Digital Marketing
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments
  • Ability to be flexible and well organised
  • Ability to work with minimal direction
  • Ability to be a clear thinker, analyze and resolve problems exercising good judgment
  • Ability to meet deadlines and be adaptable to changing work demands
  • Ability to perform job functions to standards under pressure
