Financial Accountant

Job Title: Financial Accountant – 6-Month Contract

Location: Co. Kildare

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Financial Accountant to join a leading organisation in Co. Kildare on a six-month contract. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the successful candidate will play a key role in managing financial operations, delivering accurate reporting, and driving process improvements within the finance function.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparation of monthly management accounts and variance analysis.
Bank reconciliations, cash flow forecasting, and revenue reporting.
Maintain and reconcile the General Ledger, balance sheets, and intercompany transactions.
Oversee credit control, aged debt management, and creditor reconciliations.
Manage statutory compliance, including VAT, PAYE, and other returns.
Assist in year-end close and liaise with external auditors.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and working capital requirements.
Provide KPI reports and financial insights to senior leadership.
Drive ERP system initiatives and improvements in financial processes.

Key Attributes:

Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA) with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
Proficient in financial systems and advanced Excel skills.
Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to meet tight deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with stakeholders.
Strong analytical abilities and technical accounting knowledge.
