About the Role: As a Junior Procurement Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Senior Procurement Professionals, ensuring compliant and value-driven procurement practices. Key Responsibilities:
- Support Senior Procurement Professionals in fulfilling procurement requirements with an emphasis on compliance and achieving value for money.
- Develop a solid understanding of EU directives and related procurement legislation, applying appropriate procedures to various procurement needs.
- Learn and proficiently use the Purchase Order system, articulating the fundamentals of HRI Purchasing Policies and Procedures to colleagues in other business areas.
- Conduct research for specific procurement projects.
- Cultivate strong working relationships with business representatives throughout the organization.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as your knowledge and skills evolve, contributing to the overall objectives of the role.
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of EU Procurement rules, with a commitment to upskilling through external learning and internal coaching.
- Ability to build strong working relationships, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative team player.
- Numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to multitask and work independently.
- Open mindset and a keen desire to pursue a career in public procurement.
- IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
- Comfortable working in an office environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
