Working alongside my Kildare based client, we are looking for an ambitious, passionate and focused HR Business Partner to join the company. Reporting to the CEO, you will be accountable for creating and carrying out the people procedures and initiatives and collaborating closely with the Senior Leadership Team.  With a solid grasp of employment legislation, you will support the leadership of strategic HR initiatives such as Diversity and Inclusion, Leadership Development, Mentoring, HR Systems Implementation, and others.  Additionally, you will also be involved in the continual development, revision and implementation of policies to ensure compliance with relevant legislation. With strong interpersonal and communication skills, your core duties will include but, no limited to:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with senior leaders as an effective team member supporting them to manage and lead their teams and functions through the changes necessary to improve performance and create sustainable business models.
  • Assist in ensuring that all departments are structured and resourced correctly to achieve agreed objectives.
  • Coach and advise managers on employee relations, organisation design, change management, reward, recruitment and selection in line with company policy and procedures.
  • Support, coach and develop managers to build effective teams and to manage the performance of their employees through positive communication and engagement.
  • Improve the quality of the performance management process by ensuring that regular, constructive conversations take place to enhance performance.
  • Lead strategic HR projects including Diversity and Inclusion, Leadership Development, Mentoring, HR Systems Implementation, and others.
  • Ongoing development, updating and implementation of policies to ensure compliance with relevant legislation. 
  • Lead disciplinary or grievance matters and mediate where required.
  • Ensure efficient and effective HR and payroll processes are in place and implemented and develop reports for the executive leadership team and Board of Directors on HR metrics including absenteeism, turnover etc.
  • Ensure contracts of employment or contracts for service are kept up to date and in line with legislative and business requirements.
  • Work closely with partners on joint training and education projects and HR initiatives.
Skills and Experience:
  • 5 – 10 years in HR with at least 3 years’ experience successfully delivering a similar HR Business Partner role.
  • Degree qualified in HR or specialism in HR.
  • CIPD qualification with good knowledge of current employment legislation and best practice.
  • Mediation skills and qualification or accreditation as a coach would be an advantage.
  • Ability to build good working relationships and experience of delivering change programmes and learning and development initiatives.
  • Previous experience of working with employee representatives and/or trade unions.
  • Self-driven and takes ownership of work, with a strong focus on outcomes, results and timelines.
  • Organisational and project management experience with excellent communication, facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to multitask while managing multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office and technology skills.
