My client is looking for an individual that is looking to advance their career in Payroll and gain hands-on experience in a thriving and supportive workplace. The individual in this role will need to demonstrate accuracy with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and have knowledge of statutory payroll legislation. You must be committed to ensuring that the payroll administration function is professional and well respected, and that all information is processed in a timely and accurate manner.

 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for end-to-end accurate processing of payroll
  • Manage high volume workflow whilst maintain integrity of information – eg, for starters, leavers, holidays, bonuses etc
  • In depth knowledge of payroll legislation, PAYE/PRSI rules, payroll processes, pensions, BIK and other additions and deductions
  • Ensuring month-end and year-end payroll returns are completed accurately and submitted to Revenue and pension providers in a timely manner
  • Respond and resolve any payroll queries in a timely and accurate manner
  • Liaising with HR in relation to any employee detail amendments
  • Support pension account reconciliation's and payment of deductions in accordance with statutory requirements
  • Recommend revisions to payroll process on an on-going basis
  • Adhere to strong internal controls to ensure best practice
  • Perform any ad hoc duties as may be required from time to time

The ideal candidate will be required to have the following experience/qualifications:

  • IPASS qualification or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3+ years' experience
  • Must have experience in a fast-paced, high volume payroll environment
  • Strong communication skills and confidentiality essential
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Resourceful, self-motivated and with the ability to work on own initiative with the ability to liaise with individuals across all departments
  • Strong problem solving skills with particular attention given to accuracy and detail
