Job Title: Stores Operative
Reports to: Finance Director
The role:
Support the Logistics Controller in maintaining effective stock control and to perform all goods inwards and outwards activities of the Stores Area in accordance with Company Policies, Procedures and Health & Safety Regulations.
Skills and experience:
- 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Great attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills.
- The ability to work in a team and have the ability to multi-task.
- Must hold a forklift licence (Counterbalance) with experience.
- Assist with all goods inwards and outwards including; inspection, sorting, storing; picking; packing; wrapping; dispatching; and all associated documentation, including receipt of goods onto computer systems and generation of all sales & service order dispatch notes.
- Ensure that orders are dispatched and goods are receipted in, in a timely and accurate manner.
- Coordinate courier and delivery services for incoming and outgoing.
- Process customer returns, warranty returns and collection of goods from customers ensuring that correct paperwork and ERP system data is completed.
- Complete inventory diary logs, perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits.
- Keep a clean and safe working environment, by following quality rules and regulations and adhering to health & safety procedures.
- Any ad hoc grounds or office maintenance as required.
