Our Naas based client is looking for a Qualified Commercial / Cost Accountant to join their busy team. The key responsibilities of the role are to provide financial, commercial and analytical support to various Departments throughout the company. You will be reporting to the Head of Finance, deadline driven, have strong analytical skills . You will be a highly organised individual who thrives in a fast paced and dynamic environment.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Accurate preparation of Customer quotations in line with SOP & agreed timelines to support Sales & growth strategy with clear communication around any deadline hurdles.
  • Timely collaboration with other Departments to ensure an efficient costing / quotations process.
  • Provision/validation of data as required by the Commercial Team.
  • Log and report on all quotation requests and their turnaround times detailing any issues.
  • Provision of a High level of service and attention to key identified stakeholders.
  • Liaison with Operational and other Departments on all matters relating to financial governance and customer service.
  • Maintenance of all associated systems and records.
  • Financial analysis and reporting on all other relevant cost areas relevant to the pricing / quotations process, e.g., Raw Material and packaging prices, costs of production etc.
  • Ensuring strict compliance with relevant SOP’s.
  • Ad hoc financial projects / tasks as identified by Line Manager.
  • Implement & drive continuous improvement and cost saving/contribution enhancing initiatives.

 

Skills / Qualifications / Experience

  • 3rd level Accounting Qualification.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent planning, analytical and organisational skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written & verbal communication skills.
  • Team player with the ability to act on own initiative.
  • Flexibility and ability to manage change in a fast-moving business.
  • Ability to prioritise and make sound business decisions.
  • Demonstrated strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • A strong sense of urgency and responsiveness.
