Accounts Payable Assistant
Reports to: Finance Manager
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Assistant to join our client’s dynamic team. As a key member of the finance department, you will play an essential role in managing accounts administration, processing invoices, and ensuring accurate reporting and reconciliations. Key Responsibilities:
• Accurately prepare and enter data for accounts administration.
• Code and process accounts payable invoices.
• Manage payment runs, ensuring timely payments to suppliers.
• Maintain and reconcile the creditors ledger, ensuring accuracy.
• Address supplier queries and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Complete and update bank mandate documentation as required.
• Perform bank reconciliations, ensuring accounts are up to date.
• Assist in the preparation of reconciliations and analysis for monthly management accounts.
• Support month-end close-off activities.
• Deliver accurate and timely reports to assist with decision-making.
• Take on ad-hoc duties and projects as needed, supporting the Finance Team.
Experience & Qualifications:
• Strong numerical skills with an eye for detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in a finance role.
Required Competencies:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively.
• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail, especially with numbers.
• A self-motivated and proactive approach to work, with strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work independently, prioritising workload effectively.
• Eagerness to learn and contribute to a positive, hands-on team environment.
