Overview:
Our Offaly-based client is seeking an experienced Accounts and Operations Manager to lead and streamline operational functions. This key role will ensure seamless daily operations, coordinate scheduling for IT engineering teams, manage key client relationships, and oversee the IT ticketing system to ensure efficient issue resolution. Additionally, the role includes managing finance and accounts to support the organisation’s financial sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management:
- Team Coordination: Plan, supervise, and allocate resources for a team of IT engineers, ensuring balanced workloads and timely project delivery.
- Client Relations: Serve as the primary contact for key clients, fostering strong relationships and maintaining client satisfaction.
- IT Ticketing: Manage the IT ticketing system, prioritising and resolving client issues efficiently.
- Process Optimisation: Implement best practices to enhance operational workflows, focusing on efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Customer Service: Maintain our commitment to outstanding client service in all interactions.
Finance & Accounts Management:
- Invoicing: Oversee daily sales and purchase invoicing to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Reconciliation & Revenue Returns: Perform bank reconciliations, prepare revenue returns, and manage payroll per company policies.
- Financial Closing Procedures: Handle month-end and year-end financial activities, ensuring statutory compliance.
- Cash Flow: Monitor cash flow to ensure financial stability.
- Reporting: Partner with management to provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making.
Candidate Requirements
- Education: Degree or equivalent experience in Operations, Business, or related fields.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with accounting software like Sage 50 and payroll systems such as Thesaurus.
- CRM Familiarity: Experience with CRM systems is a plus.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an aptitude for building client and team relationships.
- Leadership Experience: Demonstrated experience leading or supervising teams, with a proven ability to motivate and coordinate staff.
- Organisational Skills: Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
