Role Overview:
As a Field Sales Team Leader, you will manage, support, and motivate a team of field sales representatives to achieve sales targets and drive growth in assigned territories. You will be responsible for guiding your team to deliver exceptional results, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills, knowledge, and tools to succeed. Additionally, you will foster a high-performance culture within your team, tracking performance and handling any escalations or challenges that arise in the field.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership & Management:
    • Lead, coach, and manage a team of field sales representatives, ensuring they are meeting or exceeding their sales targets.
    • Monitor performance through regular one-to-one sessions and team meetings.
    • Provide day-to-day support to team members in the field, assisting with lead generation, closing deals, and resolving any issues that arise.
 
  • Sales Performance & Target Achievement:
    • Drive sales growth by ensuring your team meets weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales targets.
    • Track individual and team performance against KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective action plans as needed.
    • Analyse sales data and trends to make informed decisions on sales strategies and focus areas.
 
  • Coaching & Development:
    • Provide ongoing training and coaching to field sales representatives, enhancing their sales skills, product knowledge, and customer engagement techniques.
    • Identify individual strengths and areas for improvement, creating tailored development plans to support each team member’s growth.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews, setting clear expectations and providing feedback to drive continuous improvement.
 
  • Customer Relationship Management:
    • Ensure that all customer interactions are handled professionally and align with Clients brand values, fostering long-term relationships and repeat business.
    • Act as a point of escalation for complex customer issues, ensuring they are resolved quickly and satisfactorily.
    • Collaborate with the Field Sales Manager and other departments to ensure the seamless delivery of products and services to customers.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in field sales, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
    • Experience in the telecommunications, technology, or related industry is a strong advantage.
 
  • Sales Leadership:
    • Proven track record of leading a sales team to success, with a history of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
    • Strong ability to motivate, coach, and manage a diverse team of sales representatives.
    • Hands-on experience in direct, B2C field sales is essential, with a deep understanding of sales processes and customer engagement.
 
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and influence effectively at all levels.
    • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with both team members and customers.
 
  • Problem-Solving & Decision-Making:
    • Ability to handle and resolve escalated customer issues and complex sales challenges.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions to improve sales performance.
 
  • Organisational & Time Management Skills:
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and the team is on track.
    • Excellent organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
 
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Comfortable using digital tools and platforms to manage field sales activities and communications.
