Role Overview:
As a Field Sales Manager, you will lead and manage a team of field sales representatives to drive sales growth in specific territories. You will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, coaching your team, and ensuring that they meet their targets. This role is suited for a highly motivated individual with a passion for sales and leadership, who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy & Execution:
    • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth in targeted areas.
    • Set sales targets and KPIs for the field sales team and monitor progress to ensure targets are met or exceeded.

 

  • Team Leadership & Development:
    • Lead, manage, and motivate a team of field sales representatives, ensuring they are engaged and performing to the highest standard.
    • Provide coaching, training, and support to the team to improve their sales techniques, product knowledge, and overall performance.
    • Conduct regular one-to-one performance reviews, offering feedback and identifying areas for improvement or development.

 

  • Customer Relationship Management:
    • Build strong relationships with key customers and prospects in the field, identifying their needs and providing tailored solutions.
    • Support sales representatives in managing client relationships, resolving escalated issues, and closing high-value deals.
    • Maintain a customer-centric approach, ensuring a positive customer experience and long-term retention.

 

  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
    • Track and analyse sales performance metrics, providing reports to senior management on key results, trends, and forecasts.
    • Ensure that all sales activities are accurately recorded in CRM systems and other relevant tools.
    • Continuously assess the sales pipeline, ensuring a steady flow of leads and opportunities.

 

  • Market Intelligence:
    • Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to ensure the client  remains competitive and innovative in its approach.
    • Provide feedback to internal teams based on field insights

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in business, Sales, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
    • Experience in field sales, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role.
    • Experience in the telecommunications, technology, or utilities industry is a strong advantage.

 

  • Sales Leadership:
    • Proven ability to lead and manage a sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets.
    • Strong track record of success in B2C or B2B sales, with expertise in sales strategy, closing deals, and customer engagement.

 

  • Communication & Negotiation:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present solutions clearly and persuasively.
    • Strong negotiation and influencing skills to drive sales and secure contracts.

 

  • Analytical & Strategic Thinking:
    • Ability to analyse sales data, market trends, and competitor activity to inform decision-making and strategy.
    • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on identifying solutions and opportunities.

 

  • Team Development:
    • Demonstrated experience in coaching and developing a high-performing sales team.
    • Ability to motivate and inspire teams to reach their potential, providing both tactical and strategic guidance.
    • Comfortable using digital tools and platforms to manage field activities and reporting.
