Our client is seeking a skilled and proactive Management Accountant to take ownership of the month-end process and deliver accurate, timely financial information to support business performance and decision-making. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts, including full end-of-month close.
  • Review and analyse profit and loss movements, investigating variances and ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare monthly journals, including accruals, prepayments, and depreciation.
  • Take ownership of balance sheet reconciliations, including bank and intercompany accounts.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including payment runs and approval processes.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns, VIES, and statutory returns in line with regulatory deadlines.
  • Perform cashflow analysis and support cashflow forecasting and liquidity management.
  • Lead budget preparation, monitor performance, and analyse budget versus actual variances.
  • Maintain the fixed asset register and oversee depreciation calculations.
  • Manage price increases within the system, supporting system updates and process changes.
  • Support the year-end audit process, acting as a key point of contact for external auditors.
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements to strengthen financial controls and reporting.
  • Produce KPI and management reporting to support leadership and operational teams.
