Technical Co Ordinator

We’re seeking a detail-driven Technical Co Ordinator to help ensure our food products meet the highest standards. In this role, you’ll manage product specifications, artwork approvals, and supplier compliance, while supporting audits, traceability, and quality projects. You’ll liaise closely with customers, sales, and marketing teams, ensuring packaging, labels, and technical data meet legal and customer requirements.

 Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Product specification generation in line with customer and IDF requirements-maintaining specification and technical information up to date on customer database
  • Approval of artwork – legislative text, claims, declarations etc. in line with customer specific requirements & relevant legislation
  • Physical verification of approved packaging / artwork / labelling pre – First Production Run (FPR)
  • Work closely with customer technical contacts as required to ensure specification and artwork meets customer & legal requirements
  • Provision of technical information to Sales & Marketing as requested within agreed timelines i.e. back of packs etc as per technical list priority
  • Support the Technical Officer in supplier approval– ensuring packaging, raw material, intermediate, factored good specifications maintained up to date and on file including customer 3rd party certification cert and reports – responsible for maintaining approved supplier list & supporting documentation
  • Organise nutritional analysis / shelf-life testing of products as required for spec writing
  • Active participation in preparation and on the day handling of customer & 3rd party audits / Visits etc.
  • Support for Mass Balance / Traceability exercises as required (e.g. Supplier approval documents – specifications, GFSI etc.
  • Pro-active in taking ownership of technical / quality projects as requested with excellent follow through to completion and attention to detail
  • Attend relevant training courses as well as customer database training courses as recommended by the Dry Foods Development Manager
  • Attend all meetings as requested by the Dry Foods Development Manager and engage positively and contribute to same
  • Deputise in the absence of the Technical Officer on providing technical information for technical projects

Skills / Qualifications/ Experience:

  •  
  • Minimum recognised diploma in a food discipline or BSc in science discipline
  • Ideally 1 year QA/QC experience in a Food Manufacturing environment
  • Ideal candidate will have minimum 1 year experience in relevant role which includes specification writing and legal label sign off
  • Familiarity with the requirements of online specification retailer systems a significant advantage
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work under own initiative
