We’re looking for qualified Social Care Workers to join a caring, professional team in Naas, Co. Kildare.
You’ll work in a supportive, person-centred environment providing high-quality care to adults with intellectual disabilities — helping each person reach their full potential.
What You’ll Do
- Support adults with intellectual disabilities in their daily lives.
- Promote independence, dignity, and community inclusion.
- Develop and deliver person-centred care and support plans.
- Assist with personal care, household tasks, and social activities.
- Administer medication and maintain accurate records.
- Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Ensure all care meets HIQA standards and safeguarding guidelines.
What You’ll Need
- Minimum Level 7 QQI qualification in Social Care Studies or an equivalent Health/Social Care field.
- Registered (or in process) with the Social Care Workers Registration Board by CORU.
- Full, clean manual driver’s licence (able to drive vehicles up to 8 passengers).
- Minimum 1 year’s experience supporting adults with intellectual disabilities or vulnerable adults.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of HIQA regulations, person-centred planning, and safeguarding policies.
- Flexibility to work rostered shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleepovers.
Desirable:
- Training in Studio 3 or positive behaviour support.
- Experience in residential, community, or not-for-profit care settings.
- Familiarity with the New Directions model of care.
