Qualified Accountant – Charity Sector Experience Necessary – Immediate Start

Overview:
Join our client's team as a Qualified Accountant and lead their organisation's financial strategy. This pivotal role ensures their financial sustainability and growth, contributing to their mission of delivering housing and community-focused services.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the finance function, ensuring compliance with regulations and alignment with organisational goals.

  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, ensuring statutory compliance and accuracy.

  • Manage day-to-day finance operations, including accounts payable and payroll coordination.

  • Develop and maintain effective financial systems and controls.

  • Collaborate across functions to ensure seamless service delivery.

  • Produce I&E Management Accounts, manage cash flow and balance sheet and comprehensively talk the Board through these.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field (ACCA, ACA, CPA, or CIMA).

  • Minimum 3 years of senior finance experience with expertise in financial management and reporting.

  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and social housing legislation.

  • Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting software.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in strategic financial decision-making.

  • Ability to work independently and proactively.

  • Full Irish driving license with access to a vehicle insured for business purposes.
