Market Intelligence & Investment Governance Manager

My client is seeking a Market Intelligence & Investment Governance Manager to enhance its ability to make evidence-based investment decisions that align with market dynamics and strategic priorities. This role plays a key part in supporting the organisation’s transition, sustainable growth, and long-term competitiveness in an evolving energy landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Intelligence: Monitor and analyse developments across Irish and European energy markets, including regulatory updates, auction frameworks (RESS, ORESS, CfDs), capacity market changes, carbon pricing, and competitor activity. Translate insights into strategic recommendations for senior leaders and project teams.

  • External Advisory Management: Act as the primary contact for external advisors, integrating their inputs into internal modelling and business cases. Manage advisor relationships, scopes and deliverables to ensure consistency and value.

  • Investment Governance: Lead preparation of business cases, financial assumptions and risk assessments for governance processes and investment committees. Ensure documentation meets governance standards and reflects current market assumptions.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Support shareholder and public-sector submissions and coordinate responses to information requests with accuracy and clarity.

  • Data & Process Improvement: Maintain market databases and dashboards; identify and drive improvements to investment governance processes and cross-department alignment.

About You

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering or related discipline (postgraduate/MBA/CFA advantageous).

  • 8+ years’ experience in market intelligence, commercial analysis or investment governance.

  • Strong knowledge of Irish and EU energy markets, regulatory frameworks and renewable project economics.

  • Excellent analytical, written and presentation skills for senior leadership and investment committees.

  • Proven stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration experience.

  • Membership of a relevant professional body desirable.
