Finance Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to take full ownership of the finance function within a dynamic and growing organisation in County Kildare. This position encompasses responsibility for financial reporting, compliance, planning, and leading a team. The successful candidate will work closely with the CFO to ensure robust financial management and support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day finance operations, ensuring accuracy and integrity of all financial activities.
  • Deliver timely and detailed monthly management accounts, forecasts, variance analysis, and cost centre reporting.
  • Prepare consolidated financial reports and ensure alignment with both internal standards and statutory requirements.
  • Coordinate the budgeting process and periodic reforecasts across the organisation.
  • Produce board reporting materials and executive-level summaries.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable financial, tax, and regulatory obligations.
  • Manage annual audit processes and serve as the main point of contact for external auditors.
  • Maintain and continuously improve internal control procedures and risk management practices.
  • Provide financial insight to support key business initiatives, investment decisions, and pricing models.
  • Partner with senior leadership on strategic planning and financial analysis.
  • Support funding applications, grant reporting, and sustainability finance initiatives.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.
  • Oversee financial system enhancements to support business growth and scalability.
  • Drive efficiencies and ensure strong financial governance across all activities.

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent).
  • Previous experience in a similar position, including a minimum of two years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of Irish accounting standards, tax legislation, and corporate compliance.
  • Experience in a scaling or fast-paced environment preferred; exposure to sectors such as energy, tech, or manufacturing is a plus.
  • Proficient in financial systems and advanced in Excel.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities in a high-performance environment.
