Electrical Service Technician – RECI Certified/Full Irish Driving Licence

As an Electrical Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing faults, servicing, and performing emergency repairs on Material Handling Equipment (MHE). Your daily tasks will involve maintaining and repairing customer equipment, including industrial chargers, to ensure optimal functionality. This role requires independent work on customer sites while adhering to safety protocols and effectively communicating with both customers and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct maintenance, installation, and repair of batteries and industrial chargers at customer sites, adhering to technical specifications.

  • Provide customer briefings on equipment use and maintenance practices. Recommend suitable new or replacement products as necessary.

  • Identify opportunities for business development, negotiating sales of new or replacement products while on-site.

  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, perform fault diagnosis, and accurately report findings using digital tools.

  • Fulfill any other duties as assigned by management.

  • Demonstrate proactive engagement in Health and Safety initiatives, contributing to safety campaigns and reporting near misses to enhance workplace safety.

Technical Capabilities – Chargers:

  • Familiarity with various charger models, including specific knowledge of GREEN Chargers, CBHF2 Chargers, TORO720 Chargers, and STELVIO1K8 Chargers.

  • Ability to utilize technical tools such as HFView Application for data analysis and charger parameter programming.

  • Proficiency in failure analysis and troubleshooting for different charger models.

Qualifications:

  • Electrical or electronic qualifications such as C&G, 17th Edition, ONC, NVQ, or equivalent.

  • Knowledge of large-scale batteries and chargers is advantageous.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

  • Territory coverage across designated regions in Ireland.

  • Full-time position, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week within core hours (typically 06:00 to 18:00).
