The Role

As EH&S Manager, you will:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and communication of EH&S policies, programs, and SOPs.

  • Ensure compliance with all legislation (HSA, EPA) and corporate standards, driving continuous improvement in safety and sustainability.

  • Develop, track, and report on EHS goals and KPIs, reducing incidents and preventing risks.

  • Conduct regular audits, surveys, and risk assessments to ensure hazards are identified and addressed proactively.

  • Oversee the contractor safety program and ensure full compliance with company safety regulations.

  • Drive training initiatives, delivering courses and materials to build a culture of accountability and awareness.

  • Manage emergency preparedness and lead Emergency Response Teams (ERTs), including drills and contingency planning.

  • Partner with engineering and project teams to ensure safety compliance on installations, modifications, and NPIs.

  • Champion a culture of safety, wellbeing, and environmental responsibility across the site.


About You

You’ll bring:

  • A degree in Environmental, Health & Safety (or related field).

  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in an EH&S role (manufacturing or chemical industry background desirable).

  • Strong working knowledge of Irish health & safety legislation and best practice.

  • Excellent communication and training skills – ideally with QQI Level 6 Train the Trainer or equivalent.

  • Experience managing risk assessments, incident investigations, and emergency planning.

  • Strong IT skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • A proactive, hands-on approach with sound judgement and decision-making ability.
