Book-keeper (Part-Time, Hybrid)
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented bookkeeper to join our team on a part-time basis (3 days), with flexibility to work in a hybrid capacity (remote and office-based). The ideal candidate will manage day-to-day finance operations and support monthly and year-end processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsibility for the Debtors and Creditors Ledger
- Raise and issue sales invoices, credit notes, and month-end statements
- Manage credit control, payment allocation, and debtor ledger reconciliation
- Process and verify supplier invoices; reconcile creditor accounts
- Prepare EFT/batch payments and resolve supplier/customer queries
- Handle bank transactions, credit card allocations, and reconciliations
- Manage monthly payroll instructions to external Accountants
- Update and maintain excel trackers re subcontractor payments
- Process RCT on a bi weekly basis via ROS
- Support monthly reporting: P&L, Balance Sheet, and variance analysis
- Maintain fixed asset register and assist with audit preparation
- Oversee staff expenses and cost control reviews
- Support budgeting, cash flow projections, and ad hoc reporting
- Liaise with external Accountancy firm
- Maintain organised records and contribute to ongoing process improvements
Desired Experience & Skills
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar bookkeeping or finance role
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Experience in reconciliations, reporting, and audit preparation
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and time management
- Able to work independently and communicate effectively across teams
