Golf Ireland is the single governing body for golf on the island of Ireland, established in January 2021 it is responsible for leading, growing and supporting the game of golf. The primary functions of Golf Ireland include the administration of Championships and Inter-Club events, the administration of the World Handicap System and the Rules of Golf and Amateur Status, the delivery of a world-class high-performance programme, contesting and hosting international fixtures, supporting clubs and growing the game.
An exciting job opportunity has arisen within Golf Ireland, and we are now seeking to recruit an Office Administrator to support our team to implement approved strategic and operational plans.
This role requires excellent communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills, along with in-depth knowledge of office systems and processes.

Principal Responsibilities:
- Support the printing and mailing of membership cards in a timely manner
- Assist with the management of the Volunteer Information Portal – Including uniform distribution, stock control, support the regional offices with the use of the Volunteer Information Portal, answering of or re-directing of enquiries from volunteers to the relevant personnel.
- Help maintain the administrative function of the Fit2Trade Health & Safety portal to ensure all staff remain compliant and all health and safety requirements are completed and kept up to date.
- Provide reception cover as needed
- Respond to customer queries and support requests via the helpdesk as needed
Development and Club Support Administration
- Administer the management of the Club-Hub and ensure the Development and Club Support Resources are up to date.
- Collate of all the relevant data/statistics associated with Development and Club Support
- Assist in the Preparation of quarterly reports/presentations for SMT, National Committee and the board of Golf Ireland
- Assist with the administration of development and club support initiatives.
- Administer the delivery of the leaders’ course and the Community Golf Instructor
- Administer the delivery of the Club Development Education Programme
- Manage the Development Email Account
- Assist with day-to-day Budget Management
- Administer the management of Development and Club Support Stock
- Administer the Junior Development Grant – ensuing all safeguarding criteria are met
- Take minutes at defined National Committee and Team Meetings.
Experience and Knowledge:
Essential:
- Minimum of 3-5 years proven experience in office administration
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and office management software (e.g., MS Teams, SharePoint, Zoom, or similar tools)
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organisational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
- Experience in data processing.
- Discretion with confidential Information
Desirable
- Knowledge of golf
- Experience of working with volunteers
