We are currently seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead and optimise our clients warehouse functions.
Key Responsibilities:
As the Warehouse Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of our warehouse operations. Your responsibilities will encompass, but not be limited to:
- Guaranteeing the quality and accuracy of all incoming goods, encompassing packaging, raw materials, and more.
- Collaborating effectively with various company departments, external warehouse partners, and transport companies.
- Planning, monitoring, and optimizing the storage, delivery, and dispatch of orders to meet customer demands.
- Executing objectives and directions provided by the Planning Manager.
- Generating regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Leading the recruitment and training of warehouse staff, as well as continuously monitoring their performance and development.
- Providing daily briefings to the warehouse team to ensure alignment with goals.
- Maintaining and enforcing high standards of health, safety, hygiene, and security within the workplace.
- Ensuring that all warehouse staff are adequately trained in the safe operation of forklifts.
- Ensuring the availability of all required packaging and materials daily to meet schedule requirements.
- Overseeing the assembly of orders in their entirety, promptly identifying shortages or issues as they arise.
- Keeping the management team updated with current information on stocks, transport costs, and related matters.
- Ensuring strict adherence to standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) throughout the department.
- Collaborating with the Inventory and Quality Control teams to achieve the highest level of inventory accuracy and quality.
- Investigating the history of items to identify reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommending corrective actions.
- Contributing to the development and recommendation of strategic plans and reviews to achieve operational objectives. Implementing production and quality plans based on customer service standards. Identifying and resolving problems and trends.
- Forecasting requirements, assisting in preparing annual budgets, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and taking corrective actions to meet the financial objectives of the warehouse.
- Determining product handling and storage requirements and developing and enforcing effective warehouse operations systems. Developing processes for receiving, utilizing equipment, managing inventory, and shipping products.
- Creating and implementing an efficient warehouse layout that optimizes product flow, equipment usage, and product handling systems.
- Addressing personnel issues, including recruitment, training, and disciplinary actions.
- Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety requirements and taking responsibility for warehouse security and stock protection.
- Managing people, processes, and systems efficiently.
Qualifications/ Skills/ Experience:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications, skills, and experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of previous warehouse operations experience.
- Strong ability to manage processes and optimize warehouse operations.
- Proven experience in effectively managing and leading a team.
- Exceptional reporting skills and the ability to accurately analyze information.
- Detail-oriented and dedicated to meeting deadlines while upholding high standards.
- Willingness to challenge and improve people, processes, and operational methods.
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and prioritization skills, especially in a dynamic warehouse environment.
- The ability to foster teamwork and maintain a can-do attitude among the workforce.
- Training and knowledge of HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) principles.
