Engineering Supervisor
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering support for manufacturing and office facilities
- Install, commission, and troubleshoot plant and equipment
- Program and diagnose plant and equipment, including PLCs
- Maximize machinery uptime and minimize production and utility downtime
- Execute preventive maintenance programs
- Troubleshoot using various PLC programs
- Offer technical support for plant facilities, including compressed air and refrigeration
- Participate in Environmental, Health & Safety, and Quality activities
- Perform engineering work orders following CGMP guidelines
- Collaborate with equipment suppliers on new installations and modifications
- Assist the Health & Safety team with risk assessments and training for the Maintenance Team
- Implement "Lock-out Tag-out" programs
- Adhere to site policies on Quality, Health & Safety
- Provide timely information to the Engineering manager
- Monitor line and machine performance and make improvements
- Support line leaders and provide overtime, shift cover, phone support, and callouts
- Oversee Contractors on site
- Offer general maintenance support in various areas
- Analyze plant downtime and develop strategies to increase uptime
- Keep area managers informed of significant developments
- Utilize the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Qualifications/ Skills/ Experience: Essential
- Relevant third-level engineering qualification or time-served as an electrician
- Minimum 3 years' maintenance experience, both planned and reactive
- PLC/PC Control Systems experience
- Mechanical experience
- Experience in identifying and executing machine/line improvement projects

- Experience in managing skilled operatives
- Project delivery experience on time and within budget
- Familiarity with Motor Control Systems and Process Temperature Controls
- Strong industrial mechanical service and repair skills
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

- Working knowledge and experience of relevant Health, Safety & Environmental legislation
- Experience in safety systems management and work with contractors using Isolation/Lock-off procedures, Risk Assessment, and Permit to Work
- Involvement in lean projects and process improvements
- Maintain plant and equipment performance and provide utilities for Manufacturing Departments and General Plant to achieve organizational goals
