Clark Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with their Dublin based client, a leading Irish Sports body to recruit a Facility Operations Coordinator.

In this role you will coordinate the operations and maintenance of quality facilities at their HQ, National Training Centre and all other owned facilities while working with local, regional and national facilities under the guidance of the Head of Facility Development.

Principle Purpose and Duties:

The role will ensure that the Association’s operations at the National Training Centre and HQ are delivered to the highest standards, in a safe and welcoming environment.

The role will work with all internal stakeholders to ensure the Association’s operational targets are met and delivered locally, regionally and nationally.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the day to day operation of the HQ. This would include but not limited to;
    • Day to day upkeep and maintenance of the HQ building and surrounding areas such as but not limited to – carpark areas, storage buildings, sheds, etc.
    • Engaging with external contractors through the procurement process to carry out prescribed works
  • Lead the maintenance, operation and future planned installation of all utilities equipment and building controls systems, HVAC equipment, i.e., pumps, boilers, air handling units, air compressors, cooling towers, process gas systems and chillers.
  • Coordinate the day to day operation of the National Training Centre HQ and training pitches. This would include but not limited to;
      • Supporting the Head of Facility Development by co-ordinating the external contractors to ensure that all training pitches and surrounding areas are maintained to the highest of standards possible.
      • Orgainising and processing all bookings requests from internal and external stakeholders while coordinating with groundstaff for Pitch/area allocations.
      • Coordinate and ensure the successful delivery of events hosted at the National Training Centre by internal or external bodies.
      • Monitoring of all training sessions held at the National Training Centre; including any other events that are held onsite.
  • Work closely and co-ordinate the purchasing of all HQ stationary supplies and stock keeping for same. All line with the procurement process.
  • Liaise with HQ affiliates such as DDSL, Leinster Senior League and any other related parties where necessary, in relation to events and planning of activities and bookings at the HQ and National Training Centre.
  • Support the Facility Development Department with any Sports Capital funding applications submitted by the Association and supporting applications from Affiliates or other related bodies/Clubs.
  • Support the Head of Facility Development with the preparation of annual budgets for the National Training Centre and HQ building and costing where appropriate.
  • Coordinate and support with the Head of Facility Development with the operational responsibilities of other facilities:
  • Support the Facility Development Department with the development and implementation of both natural turf and artificial turf training day courses. This is both a national training and regional/local training/written and practical.
  • Ensure that operating procedures are in line with industry regulations and best practice regarding Health & Safety standards and policies.
    • Maintain and track with daily/weekly/monthly reports.
  • Lead the Health and Safety procedures through relevant appointed body to ensure a safe working environment at HQ and NTC.
  • Leader in fire safety control measures within the HQ building.
  • Develop and improve all policies, procedures, operational methods and development plans for all delivery aspects of the operation of the HQ and National Training Centre.
  • Matchday facility operations as directed by Head of Facility Development.

Ideal Candidate would have the following:

  • A qualification in facilities management, engineering or project management related.
  • Experience in HVAC systems
  • A proven track record of successful Facilities Management experience as demonstrated by recent accomplishments and/or projects.
  • Ability to lead quarterly and annual business reviews in front of the leadership of the client
  • Building Management Systems (BMS)
  • Exceptional customer service, relationship building and communication skills
