Customs Clearance Administrator

€41,000 per annum | Onsite (3 months) then Hybrid | Customs Clearance

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Customs Clearance Administrator to join their growing team. This is a full-time position, initially onsite for the first 3 months to complete training. Following successful completion of training, the role will transition to a hybrid working model with 2 days per week working from home.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a high-quality customs clearance service, ensuring all procedures are completed accurately and in compliance with Revenue and GLS standards. You will work closely with the Customs Manager and Operations team, managing customs documentation, customer queries, and reporting.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide efficient customs clearance services, ensuring compliance with Revenue and GLS standards

  • Produce daily, weekly, and monthly metrics and reports for assigned customers

  • Undertake new tasks as directed by the Customs Manager in line with business development

  • Communicate daily with the Operations department

  • Ensure all issues are resolved and closed within required timelines

  • Ensure all data submitted to Revenue is accurate and authentic

  • Maintain accurate records of all customs-related transactions

  • Liaise with internal and external customers to resolve clearance queries promptly


Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in an Import/Export Clerk role

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience using Thyme IT software

  • Experience with Import and Export customs clearances

  • Experience creating and discharging T1 documents

  • Strong knowledge of goods classification

  • Experience using Customs Force / Custom Ware applications is desirable

  • Experience in a similar industry is advantageous

  • Strong PC literacy and keyboard skills
