As the construction sector continues to grow, they remain focused on innovation, quality, and service — and are now seeking a Purchasing Administrator to join their dynamic team.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established supplier to the hardware and builders’ merchant sector. As Purchasing Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the purchasing function, maintaining optimal stock levels, liaising with suppliers, and ensuring efficient operations across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enhance strong working relationships with suppliers.

  • Review and process purchases, resolving any discrepancies as they arise.

  • Conduct regular stock reviews and forecast future stock needs based on business trends.

  • Update and maintain the SAP system, ensuring alerts and actions are managed promptly.

  • Provide administrative and analytical support to the Purchasing Team.

  • Verify product deliveries against purchase orders and communicate with suppliers on any variances.

  • Coordinate transport and delivery logistics with hauliers.

  • Work cross-functionally with other departments to ensure a seamless supply chain.

Candidate Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

  • Previous experience with SAP B1 is an advantage.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a purchasing or supply chain role preferred.

  • Confident self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
