Accounts Payable / Finance Assistant

My Dublin 24 client is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable / Finance Assistant to join their busy and collaborative finance team. This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple departments, including operations, commercial, and procurement, ensuring smooth day-to-day financial processes.  This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to contribute to a dynamic finance function while supporting the company’s ongoing growth and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process supplier invoices with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Maintain and reconcile the purchase ledger, resolving any discrepancies
  • Perform supplier account reconciliations and assist with payment runs
  • Support month-end close and prepare schedules for reporting and audits
  • Ensure compliance with finance policies and internal controls
  • Provide cross-team support on finance queries, projects, and administrative tasks
  • Contribute ideas to improve processes and increase efficiency

Requirements / Skills:

  • IATI Qualified or experience in a similar role required
  • Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or similar transactional finance role
  • Construction or infrastructure industry experience advantageous but not essential
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational skills
  • Comfortable using accounting systems (e.g. Sage, BrightBooks) and Microsoft Excel
  • Proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
