My client in Kildare seeks a driven Part Qualified accountant or someone pursuing professional qualifications to join their team. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will utilise your strong numeracy skills, meticulous attention to detail, and exceptional time management abilities to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines effectively. Embodying a customer-focused work ethic and a proactive approach, you'll play a crucial role in supporting and enhancing the organisation's financial management under the guidance of the Financial Controller and Assistant Financial Controller.

Core Duties:
  • Administer cost allocations such as fleet costs, leases, insurance, pensions, payroll, and other overhead expenses.
  • Ensure credit card reports and organisational expenses are validated, approved, and processed promptly.
  • Validate revenues associated with Group Services located on the campus.
  • Support campus-wide process improvement projects from a controlling and delivery performance perspective.
  • Assist in key controlling processes, including annual audits, cash flow processes, year-end and month-end responsibilities, as well as project support.
  • Handle VAT, VIES, and INTRASTAT submissions.
  • Manage the weekly bank reconciliation process, including interactions with the Regional Support Centre.
  • Oversee twice-monthly payment runs and ensure the X-Suite process is properly managed.
  • Assist in managing the invoice backlog.
  • Support the Rolling Forecast process.
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency and process improvement.
  • Perform other duties as directed by your manager
Desired Experience / Attributes:
  • Currently pursuing CIMA/ACCA/CPA certification and aiming for full qualification.
  • Prior experience in a dynamic finance environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, with strong system skills; SAP familiarity is advantageous.
  • Strong numerical abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Exceptional time management skills, capable of prioritizing tasks and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrates a customer-focused work ethic and proactive approach to achieving excellence.
  • Confident communicator across various mediums—face-to-face, Teams, email, and telephone—with the ability to engage effectively with multiple stakeholders.
