Financial Controller
Reports to: CFO
Location: Co. Kildare
Department: Accounts

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accounting professional to join a commercially focused finance function, working closely with the CFO and senior leadership team. The role offers broad exposure across financial reporting, systems, audit, and people management within a dynamic industry environment. It will suit someone who enjoys ownership, variety, and influencing processes while supporting strategic decision-making, with strong visibility across the business and clear scope for ongoing development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and sign off weekly P&L reports, including commentary for senior management
  • Prepare quarterly management accounts and support financial analysis
  • Manage the year-end audit process, including preparation of schedules and liaison with auditors
  • Lead and oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams
  • Manage and review general ledger reconciliations
  • Assist with tender preparation as required
  • Review, improve, and optimise NetSuite ERP system processes from an accounting perspective
  • Manage group tax return filings and ensure compliance with statutory requirements
  • Prepare accurate financial information for internal and external reporting
  • Support the Group CFO and senior management with ad hoc financial requirements
  • Operate in accordance with the company’s SHEQ Management System

Candidate Requirements

  • ACA / ACCA / CPA qualified (or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience
  • Proven industry experience
  • NetSuite experience advantageous but not essential
  • Strong communicator with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Takes ownership of tasks and responsibilities
  • Comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong organisational capability
  • Flexible and willing to travel as required
