Job Title: Transport Planner
Location: Baldonnell, Dublin
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Schedule: Monday–Friday (8am–5pm / 9am–6pm) + weekend rotation

Overview

My client, a growing logistics provider, is seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join their busy operations team in Dublin. This is a fast-paced role suited to someone who thrives on organisation, problem-solving, and delivering high levels of customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and coordinate transport for imports and exports across Ireland and the UK
Assign customer orders in the most cost-effective and efficient manner
Manage linehauls and ensure all delivery requests are fulfilled
Liaise with internal departments including Sales, Customs, and Customer Service
Maintain strong relationships with hauliers and customers
Create delivery schedules and operational reports
Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping
Proactively identify and resolve delivery or scheduling issues

Requirements

Previous experience in a transport planning or logistics role
Strong geographical knowledge of Ireland (UK knowledge advantageous)
Excellent organisational and multitasking skills
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
Full clean Category B driving licence
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
