Technical Sales Support / Administration (Structural & Architectural Metal Manufacturing)

The Technical Sales Support Administrator will provide administrative and technical support to the sales team, ensuring smooth operation of sales processes and maintaining compliance with company health & safety procedures. The role involves handling general administrative tasks, supporting quotations and project documentation, and assisting with technical drawings or proposals. Experience with CAD software is a strong advantage.


Key Responsibilities
Sales & Technical Support

  • Provide administrative and technical support to the sales team throughout the sales cycle.
  • Assist with the preparation of quotations, proposals, and sales documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records, project files, and CRM data.
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers to ensure timely communication and delivery of information.
  • Support the technical team in reviewing drawings, layouts, and specifications (CAD experience a bonus).

Health & Safety

  • Conduct and document routine health & safety checks in line with company policy.
  • Support compliance reporting and maintain H&S records.
  • Assist with risk assessments and general workplace safety administration.

Administration

  • Manage general office administration including filing, correspondence, and scheduling.
  • Produce reports, presentations, and data summaries for management as required.
  • Support coordination of meetings, visits, and training sessions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of administrative systems and procedures.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience in a technical sales support or administrative role.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
