About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established supplier to the hardware and builders’ merchant sector. As Purchasing Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the purchasing function, maintaining optimal stock levels, liaising with suppliers, and ensuring efficient operations across the business.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain and enhance strong working relationships with suppliers.

Review and process purchases, resolving any discrepancies as they arise.

Conduct regular stock reviews and forecast future stock needs based on business trends.

Update and maintain the SAP system, ensuring alerts and actions are managed promptly.

Provide administrative and analytical support to the Purchasing Team.

Verify product deliveries against purchase orders and communicate with suppliers on any variances.

Coordinate transport and delivery logistics with hauliers.

Work cross-functionally with other departments to ensure a seamless supply chain.
Candidate Requirements

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Previous experience with SAP B1 is an advantage.

Minimum 1 year of experience in a purchasing or supply chain role preferred.

Confident self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
