The Role

Reporting to the Area Manager, you will be responsible for leading operational improvements across warehouse and transport functions while developing scalable processes that support future growth. This is a senior leadership position focused on operational excellence, change management, customer service, and building high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead operational improvement projects across warehouse and transport operations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and service delivery.
  • Develop and implement Lean and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Analyse operational performance and introduce data-driven improvements.
  • Optimise warehouse workflows, transport planning, and site capacity.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, transport regulations, and quality standards.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Significant experience in logistics, warehouse, transport, or supply chain management.
  • Proven leadership experience within a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, transport planning, and process optimisation.
  • Experience implementing Lean, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence initiatives.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to balance service, cost, and operational performance.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience leading organisational change and developing high-performing teams.
  • A Transport Manager CPC or equivalent industry qualification would be advantageous.

As part of their continued development, they are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day performance of a significant warehouse and distribution operation in Dublin.
This is a senior operational role with responsibility for leading people, managing performance, maintaining high standards of service and compliance, and driving operational efficiency and continuous improvement.

Reporting to senior operations leadership, the successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the effective management of the warehouse operation, ensuring that people, processes, resources and service delivery are managed to a consistently high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day warehouse and distribution operation.
  • Manage, motivate and develop operational teams, including Supervisors and Team Leaders.

  • Manage staffing levels, work allocation, scheduling and resource requirements.

The successful candidates will play a key role in the safe and efficient movement of goods throughout the warehouse, with a strong emphasis on forklift operation, order accuracy, stock management, and goods-inwards processing — all while upholding the highest standards of health and safety.


 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Operate Counterbalance and Reach forklifts safely and efficiently to support all warehouse operations.

  • Accurately pick, pack, check, and label customer orders in line with WMS instructions, consistently achieving daily targets.

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods against delivery documentation, updating inventory within the WMS.

  • Store and move goods safely to correct warehouse locations using forklifts and manual handling techniques.

  • Use handheld scanners and WMS tools for order processing and stock management tasks.

  • Report any operational or system discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager promptly.

  • Assist with stock replenishment, cycle counts, and general warehouse organisation.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant warehouse environment at all times.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Valid, in-date Counterbalance and Reach forklift licences (essential).

  • Completed manual handling training, with in-date certification.

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment.

  • Familiarity with handheld scanning devices and WMS systems.

  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
