About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Care Worker to join a residential service supporting adults with intellectual disabilities. This role is ideal for someone who values person centred support, dignity, independence and creating a warm, homely environment where individuals can thrive.
What You’ll Do
- Act as a Key Worker, developing and implementing person centred support plans.
- Promote autonomy, choice, self-advocacy and community participation.
- Support daily living needs, personal care, communication and independent living skills.
- Implement behaviour support plans and coordinate medical appointments.
- Help maintain a safe, supportive and well-run home environment.
- Keep accurate records and uphold safeguarding, compliance and HIQA standards.
- Work collaboratively with your team and participate in regular training & supervision.
What You Need
Essential
- Minimum Level 7 QQI qualification in Social Care Studies or an equivalent Health/Social Care field.
- Registered with the Social Care Workers Registration Board (CORU).
- Full, clean manual driver’s licence, suitable for driving vehicles up to 8 seats
- At least 1 years’ experience supporting vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities.
- Strong understanding of person-centred practice, safeguarding and HIQA standards.
- Experience supporting individuals with complex needs.
- Excellent communication, report writing and IT skills.
- A reliable, empathetic, professional approach with strong confidentiality and teamwork skills.
Desirable
- Training in positive behaviour support (e.g., Studio 3 / low arousal).
- Knowledge of the New Directions model.

- Develop and deliver person-centred care and support plans.
- Assist with personal care, household tasks, and social activities.

What You’ll Need
