Clark Recruitment is currently working with a well-established global logistics and transport business to recruit a Transport Planner for their busy Road Freight operation based in Naas.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and motivated transport professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced logistics environment. We are open to candidates with either Irish domestic transport planning experience or European road freight planning experience.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily transport activities across road freight operations
Manage and oversee LTL and FTL transport movements
Ensure all operational, administrative, and legal documentation is completed accurately
Liaise with customers, drivers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure high service levels
Respond to customer queries and resolve operational issues efficiently
Maintain KPI performance and support continuous operational improvements
Process transport-related invoicing and additional operational costs where required
Ensure compliance with company procedures and health & safety standards
Use transport and Microsoft Office systems to manage daily planning activities

Requirements

Previous experience in a Transport Planner or similar logistics coordination role
Experience within either Irish domestic transport planning or European road freight operations
Strong understanding of transport, logistics, and freight operations
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work with urgency in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and transport systems
