Transport Operator
Purpose of the Role
To ensure customers’ transport requirements are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with operational procedures, statutory regulations, and Health & Safety standards. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting transport operations while maintaining excellent service levels and contributing to the overall success of the business.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare accurate documentation for warehouse teams to facilitate the loading and unloading of vehicles in a timely manner.
Plan, arrange, monitor, and control elements of distribution planning.
Assist with haulage planning across national transport routes.
Ensure compliance with company quality standards and operational KPIs.
Carry out general administrative duties including:
- Invoicing
- Filing
- Claims management
- Cost checking
- Query resolution
- Event administration
Respond promptly to customer and operational enquiries, escalating issues where required.
Communicate effectively with customers, drivers, suppliers, warehouse teams, and other internal departments.
Maximise vehicle utilisation and support efficient fleet operations.
Produce operational reports and KPI information as required.
Support the wider transport team and undertake additional duties as requested by management.

Skills & Experience Required

Strong knowledge of the transport and logistics industry.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and transport management systems.
Good understanding of driver hours legislation and transport regulations.
Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Good geographical knowledge of Ireland.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Working Hours
The transport team operates on a rotating shift pattern, which may include:

07:00 – 15:30
09:00 – 17:30
09:30 – 18:00
10:00 – 18:30
