Senior Finance Administrator

Are you an experienced finance professional looking for a varied role where you can take ownership and make a real impact?
Our client, a well-established and growing organisation based in Maynooth, is seeking a Senior Finance Administrator to join their finance team. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this is a broad, hands-on position offering responsibility across finance, commercial administration and operational support.
This role would suit someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, takes pride in accuracy, and has strong experience across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and financial administration. Previous experience working with international VAT across multiple jurisdictions is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
- Process customer invoices, supplier payments and account reconciliations
- Maintain accurate financial records through general ledger postings
- Complete bank reconciliations and support daily cash management
- Assist with month-end processes and preparation of accounts to trial balance
- Prepare and support VAT returns, including international VAT requirements across multiple countries
- Reconcile invoice financing and other finance-related transactions
- Prepare commercial documentation and assist with contract administration
- Coordinate finance documentation to support customer projects and deliveries
- Track company equipment and goods movements
- Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to ensure smooth operational processes
- Support quotation follow-up and general commercial administration
- Provide additional finance and administrative support to the Financial Controller as required
About You
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior finance, bookkeeping or accounts position
- Strong working knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and bank reconciliations
- Experience preparing accounts to trial balance
- Excellent knowledge of Irish and international VAT requirements
- Previous experience working with multiple international VAT rates is essential
- Experience using ERP or accounting systems (SAP Business One would be advantageous)
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
- Strong Excel skills and excellent numerical ability
- Able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy
