The Opportunity

Our client, a well-established and highly regarded engineering consultancy based in Naas, is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Infrastructural Technician to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong civil technician to take ownership of major residential and commercial development projects, working alongside an experienced team on high-profile developments across Ireland.

The Role

The successful candidate will play a key role in the design and delivery of civil infrastructure packages across a range of large-scale residential and commercial developments.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as lead technician on large-scale residential and commercial development projects
  • Preparing road and site layouts based on architectural and engineering plans
  • Producing civil engineering drawings for surface water drainage, foul drainage and watermain infrastructure
  • Developing detailed design and construction drawing packages for planning, tender and construction stages
  • Producing and managing 3D site models based on topographical surveys
  • Ensuring all drawing packages are completed to a high technical standard and in line with relevant regulations
  • Working closely with engineers and wider design teams throughout project lifecycles

The Person

Applicants should have:

  • Minimum Level 7 qualification in Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology or related discipline
  • Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience within an Irish engineering consultancy
  • Strong experience working on Irish residential and commercial development projects
  • Excellent proficiency in Civil 3D, X-Refs and 3D modelling
  • Strong understanding of SUDS, DMURS, Irish Water standards and relevant local authority requirements
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality technical drawing packages
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
