Clark Recruitment is delighted to partner with a leading organisation within the engineering and building services sector to recruit a Mechanical Estimator.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded individual with estimating experience within mechanical services, HVAC, ventilation, engineering or construction to join a growing and supportive team.
Working alongside experienced professionals, you will play a key role in preparing accurate quotations, reviewing technical drawings and supporting the delivery of a diverse range of commercial projects.
The Role
As Mechanical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing competitive estimates, reviewing project requirements and supporting the successful progression of projects from enquiry through to order.
Key responsibilities include:

Preparing accurate quotations and cost estimates for mechanical services projects
Reviewing technical drawings, specifications and tender documentation
Producing technical submissions and supporting project documentation
Interpreting customer requirements and ensuring solutions meet project specifications
Providing technical support and product guidance to internal teams
Liaising with Sales, Production, Management and other internal departments
Maintaining quotation registers, sales pipeline information and project records
Supporting sales order processing and project handovers
Building strong working relationships with contractors, consultants, customers and key stakeholders
Assisting with process improvements across estimating and project activities

About You
We are looking for an organised and detail-focused individual with a strong interest in developing their career within mechanical estimating.
The ideal candidate will have:

1–2 years’ experience in an estimating role within mechanical services, HVAC, ventilation, engineering or a related construction environment
Experience interpreting technical drawings, specifications and tender documentation
CAD experience is essential for this role
Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
Ability to manage multiple quotations and deadlines effectively
Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications
A proactive approach with the ability to work independently when required
