Manager (Temporary Contract – to end August)
Location: Dublin 7 (Hybrid: 2–3 days remote)
Overview
Lead the delivery and development of a national registration and accreditation scheme for Irish Sign Language (ISL) interpreters.
You’ll manage day-to-day operations, ensure high standards, and work with stakeholders including interpreters, the Deaf community, and public bodies.
What You’ll Do
- Manage the ISL interpreter registration system
- Lead operations, planning, and service delivery
- Oversee staff, budget, and resources
- Maintain policies, standards, and compliance (incl. data protection)
- Support interpreter development (CPD, audits, training pathways)
- Engage with stakeholders and promote the scheme
- Support Board governance, reporting, and administration
What You’ll Bring
- 3+ years’ management experience (or equivalent)
- Experience delivering complex services/programmes
- Strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery
- Experience with reporting, stakeholders, and compliance
- Willingness to learn Irish Sign Language
Bonus (Desirable)
- Experience with the Deaf community or ISL sector
- Knowledge of accreditation/registration systems
- Public/community sector experience
This is a varied role with responsibility across operations, governance, and stakeholder engagement in a developing national service.
