Management Accountant
My client, based in Dublin 24, is seeking a Management Accountant to join their team. You will deliver timely, accurate and insightful financial and operational information to support effective decision-making across the business. This role has ownership of weekly and month-end management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis, and acts as a key finance business partner to operational and senior leadership teams. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this is a hands-on position ideal for someone recently qualified or nearly qualified who wants strong exposure across a large finance function.
KEY ACTIVITIES:
- Prepare monthly management accounts for senior management and Board review.
- Prepare and analyse monthly balance sheet reconciliations and schedules.
- Produce month-end financial reports and supporting commentary.
- Assist with weekly accounts preparation and KPI reporting.
- Support the year-end audit process, including preparation of audit schedules and liaison with external auditors
- Working with the Financial Controller to improve operational day to day reporting
- Manage statutory accounts and tax obligations/reporting.
- Assist in the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
- Contribute to ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as required
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of financial plans with strategic objectives.
- Drive improvements in financial processes, systems, and reporting capabilities to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Professionally qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA)
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in a related field is an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for collaboration across departments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software applications.
