Management Accountant
The Management Accountant will take ownership of the Accounts Department, leading the finance function and managing accounts personnel. This role is central to producing high-quality management accounts, strengthening financial controls, and providing commercial insight to support decision-making across the business.Your key responsibilities include:
Financial Management & Reporting
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and variance analysis
- Produce weekly financial reports to support operational and commercial decision-making
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management processes
- Oversee VAT returns, payroll coordination and statutory compliance
- Support annual audit processes and liaise with external advisors
Controls & Governance
- Develop, implement and maintain robust financial controls, policies and procedures
- Ensure balance sheet integrity through regular reconciliations
- Identify and address gaps in reporting, systems or controls
Commercial & Business Partnering
- Provide financial insight to support pricing, margin analysis and profitability
- Analyse costs, trends and performance to identify efficiencies and growth opportunities
- Support senior management with clear, data-driven financial recommendations
Team Leadership
- Manage and develop accounts personnel
- Drive best practice, continuous improvement and accountability within the finance team
Qualifications & Experience
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
- 4–6+ years’ experience in a Management Accounting or similar role
- Experience running or significantly contributing to a finance function
- Payroll experience an advantage
- Strong knowledge of Irish tax and financial reporting requirements
- Proficient in accounting systems (Xero desirable) and advanced Excel
