Laboratory Technician

Our Cork based client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Lab Technician to join their busy pharmaceutical manufacturing and testing environment. The successful candidate will support laboratory operations through sample testing, data recording, equipment maintenance, and adherence to GMP and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine laboratory testing and analysis in accordance with approved methods and procedures.
Prepare samples, reagents, and laboratory equipment for testing activities.
Record, review, and maintain accurate laboratory data and documentation.
Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), GLP, and company quality standards.
Support laboratory investigations, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis where required.
Calibrate, maintain, and verify laboratory instruments and equipment.
Assist with method validation, stability studies, and quality control activities.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised laboratory environment.
Participate in audits and inspections as required.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of laboratory experience.
Relevant science qualification.
Strong understanding of laboratory practices and quality systems.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow strict procedures.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be eligible to work full-time in Ireland without restriction.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable

Previous experience working in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical environment.
Experience with analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, UV, FTIR, or microbiological testing.
Knowledge of data integrity and regulatory requirements.
