HR Manager
We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven HR manager to provide professional HR support and expertise as we focus on future development and growth of the company. You will be working closely with the management team, providing support on all HR related activities, including the development and retention of our valued employees, managing health and safety, running and developing reports and feeding added-value information directly to the Managing Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle employee relations matters, including conducting investigations and managing disciplinary and grievance procedures
- Create and maintain employee files and records
- Develop and review company policies and procedures, ensuring full compliance
- Assist managers with conducting performance review meetings and monitor the probationary period review process
- Support management in identifying and develop employee skills and training needs through the performance appraisal process
- Deliver opportunities for enhancing and upskilling of employees
- Maintain and lead a positive work environment that boosts employee morale
- Record, monitor and manage absences, holidays, protected leave, etc
- Manage accident and injury reporting and follow up
- Liaise with the finance manager on budget discussions regarding payroll
- Implement HR strategies and procedures in line with the company values
- Deliver an excellent HR service to the business
Essential Skills and experience
- Must have a hands-on approach with a strong work ethic and the ability to work on your own initiative
- Essential to have 4+ years’ experience in similar HR role
- Knowledge and understanding of the best HR practices and most up-to-date employment legislation
- Provide high level of professionalism, confidentiality and mediation skills
- Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Capable of effective communication across all levels within the business
