Freight Forwarder
My client is currently seeking an experienced International Freight Forwarding Coordinator to join their growing logistics operation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong European road freight experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced transport environment with a strong customer focus.
The successful candidate will play a key role in developing freight-forwarding activity between the UK and Europe, managing transport operations, coordinating subcontractors, and supporting customers with quotations, bookings, and general freight enquiries.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing day-to-day European road freight operations
- Handling customer quotations, pricing requests, and bookings
- Coordinating collections and deliveries with subcontractors and hauliers
- Building and maintaining strong customer relationships
- Monitoring shipments and ensuring high service levels
- Supporting the development of new freight and logistics opportunities
- Resolving operational issues in a professional and timely manner
- Liaising with carriers, drivers, customers, and internal teams
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience within international freight forwarding or logistics
- Strong operational knowledge of European road freight
- Experience managing freight bookings, transport coordination, and customer enquiries
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment
- Multi-modal freight experience would be an advantage
- Strong attention to detail and customer-service mindset
