Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst

Partnering with our client based in Co. Kildare, we are seeking a Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant to join their finance team as a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst on an initial 6-month contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional who enjoys working with data, providing commercial insight and partnering with stakeholders to support business performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
  • Prepare monthly management reports, KPI dashboards and variance analysis.
  • Analyse financial performance, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Partner with operational stakeholders, providing meaningful financial insight to support business decisions.
  • Develop financial models and assist with scenario planning and profitability analysis.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and support month-end reporting.
  • Assist with audit preparation and ensure compliance with statutory and financial reporting requirements.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and financial controls.
  • Support ad hoc commercial projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function.

About You

  • Ideally suit a Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with approximately 3 years' post-qualification experience, or a Part-Qualified Accountant with 5+ years' relevant finance experience.
  • Previous experience in FP&A, management accounting, financial reporting or commercial finance desirable.
  • Strong analytical, financial modelling and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with ERP systems such as SUN or SAP is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Commercially minded, proactive and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptable, collaborative and eager to contribute to continuous improvement.
