Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst

Partnering with our client based in Co. Kildare, we are seeking a Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant to join their finance team as a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst on an initial 6-month contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional who enjoys working with data, providing commercial insight and partnering with stakeholders to support business performance.

Key Responsibilities

Support the budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
Prepare monthly management reports, KPI dashboards and variance analysis.
Analyse financial performance, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
Partner with operational stakeholders, providing meaningful financial insight to support business decisions.
Develop financial models and assist with scenario planning and profitability analysis.
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and support month-end reporting.
Assist with audit preparation and ensure compliance with statutory and financial reporting requirements.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and financial controls.
Support ad hoc commercial projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function.

About You

Ideally suit a Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with approximately 3 years' post-qualification experience, or a Part-Qualified Accountant with 5+ years' relevant finance experience.
Previous experience in FP&A, management accounting, financial reporting or commercial finance desirable.
Strong analytical, financial modelling and problem-solving skills.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with ERP systems such as SUN or SAP is advantageous.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Commercially minded, proactive and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Adaptable, collaborative and eager to contribute to continuous improvement.
