Estimator – Ventilation Projects

Clark Recruitment is delighted to partner with a leading organisation within the engineering and building services sector to recruit an Estimator – Ventilation Projects on behalf of our client.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-oriented estimator looking to further develop their career within a dynamic and technically focused environment. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will play a key role in preparing competitive tenders, supporting project delivery and providing technical expertise throughout the sales process.

This position offers excellent exposure to a diverse portfolio of commercial ventilation projects while working alongside experienced professionals in a growing business.

The Role

As Estimator, you will be responsible for producing accurate quotations, reviewing technical documentation and supporting internal teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently from enquiry through to order.

Reporting to the relevant department manager, your responsibilities will include:

Preparing accurate and competitive quotations for ventilation and mechanical services projects.
Reviewing project drawings, specifications and tender documentation to ensure compliance with customer and project requirements.
Producing technical submissions and supporting documentation for project approvals.
Maintaining quotation registers, sales pipeline reports and project documentation.
Liaising with Sales, Production, Management and other internal departments to support successful project delivery.
Supporting the processing of sales orders, coordinating logistics and assisting with customer service enquiries.
Providing technical product advice and guidance to the sales team.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with contractors, consultants, customers and other key stakeholders.
Monitoring industry developments, market trends and product innovations to ensure solutions remain competitive.
Assisting with continuous improvement initiatives across estimating and project processes.

About You

We're looking for a motivated and technically minded individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has a strong eye for detail.

The ideal candidate will have:

1–2 years' experience in an estimating role, ideally within ventilation, HVAC, mechanical services, engineering or a related construction sector.
Experience interpreting technical drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
CAD experience is essential.
Excellent analytical and numerical skills with strong commercial awareness.
Exceptional attention to detail and organisational ability.
The ability to manage multiple quotations and competing deadlines effectively.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
