The Role

The successful candidate will work closely with the Network and In-Home commercial teams to support the effective management of project budgets, cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting. This position requires a commercially focused professional with strong analytical capability, attention to detail, and excellent stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities

Project Commercial Management

  • Support operational and commercial teams in achieving project budgets and margin targets
  • Monitor project performance and report on cost and revenue variances
  • Ensure CVR reporting is fully reconciled against approved project budgets
  • Continuously review project budgets alongside Project Directors
  • Ensure internal commercial controls are operating effectively
  • Review and manage contract claims, variations, and commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle

Subcontractor Management

  • Ensure all subcontractor documentation and compliance requirements are in place prior to commencement
  • Review and monitor subcontractor performance and commercial position on a monthly basis
  • Manage payment schedules and cashflow forecasting for subcontractors
  • Monitor retention and payment release dates

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Develop KPI and exception reporting across projects
  • Review monthly P&L performance with project teams
  • Report weekly on WIP, debtors, and working capital performance
  • Support revenue assurance, budgeting, and forecasting activities
  • Assist with ad hoc commercial and financial projects as required

Tenders & Contract Renewals

  • Support the commercial management of tenders and contract renewals
  • Develop pricing models, revenue forecasts, and cost projections
  • Conduct commercial risk analysis and impact assessments
  • Support proposal and tender submissions alongside bid management teams
  • Participate in commercial contract negotiations with clients
  • Develop project timelines, cost profiles, schedules, and margin forecasts for awarded works
  • Maintain ongoing forecasting for project timelines, costs to completion, and final account position

Requirements

  • Previous experience within a busy commercial, finance, or quantity surveying environment
  • Strong understanding of contractual and commercial management principles
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong commercial awareness and organisational ability
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to work
  • Ability to operate effectively within a fast-paced project environment
  • Professional and confident approach when representing the business
