An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Audit Senior to join a progressive and highly respected accountancy practice with a diverse and growing client portfolio. Working alongside an experienced leadership team, you'll take ownership of audit assignments from planning through to completion, while building strong client relationships and mentoring junior colleagues.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a collaborative environment and is looking to broaden their technical expertise while progressing towards Audit Manager level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead audit assignments across a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses and corporate clients.
  • Plan, coordinate and deliver audits in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
  • Manage audit fieldwork, ensuring assignments are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Supervise, coach and review the work of trainee and part-qualified accountants.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a key point of contact throughout engagements.
  • Identify audit, accounting and commercial matters arising during assignments and communicate recommendations effectively.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure assignments are delivered within agreed budgets and deadlines.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of audit methodologies and internal processes.

Desired Attributes

  • ACA, ACCA, CPA or an equivalent professional qualification.
  • Approximately 3–5 years' post-qualified experience within an Irish accountancy practice.
  • Strong external audit experience across a diverse client base.
  • Sound knowledge of Irish auditing standards and financial reporting requirements.
  • Experience planning and managing audit engagements from commencement through to completion.
  • Previous experience supervising and developing junior team members.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/audit software.
  • A proactive, commercially minded approach with a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
